2009 Bargaining Committee Election
Notice of Nominations

The New School Unit of ACT-UAW (UAW Local 7902) will hold an election for its Bargaining Committee in Spring 2009. The Bargaining Committee is the elected group that will negotiate the unit's next contract with the university. It will consist of 12 members: two members from each of the following schools: The New School, Parsons, Mannes; one member from each of the following schools: Lang, Graduate Faculty, Milano, and Drama School; and two members At Large.

A Bargaining Committee Member must be a member in continuous good standing of the Local Union for at least six months. If you meet this requirement, you are eligible for election as a Bargaining Committee Member, and you have already been automatically nominated. This is the only notice of nomination you will receive.

To run, you must accept the nomination in writing, delivered either by mail (we recommend return receipt requested for proof of mailing) or by hand to:

All acceptances must be received no later than 5pm on March 11, 2009. WE CANNOT ACCEPT ELECTION NOMINATIONS OR ACCEPTANCES BY EMAIL, FAX OR PHONE. YOU CANNOT ACCEPT A NOMINATION OF THE BEHALF OF ANOTHER PERSON.

Your acceptance letter must include the following information:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your home mailing address
• The school you would like to represent or whether you would like to run "At Large"
• Today's date
