It has come to our attention that NYU administrators are reclassifying graduate assistants employed in teaching positions as "adjuncts" and claiming they will be covered by the collective bargaining agreement between NYU and ACT-UAW (Local 7902). NYU has not contacted ACT-UAW about this matter and we are currently investigating its actions.

ACT-UAW stands in solidarity with GSOC/UAW Local 2110, the Union for teaching, research, and graduate assistants at NYU, in their struggle for recognition and a union contract that guarantees fairness and respect for all NYU graduate employees.
