ACT-UAW (UAW Local 7902)
2010 International Convention Delegate Election:
Election Notice

NO VOTING - ALL CANDIDATES ELECTED BY ACCLAMATION
Since all candidates ran unopposed, no voting will be necessary - all candidates have been elected by acclamation.

Below is the original Election Notice:

WHAT CAN I VOTE FOR?
This election could include voting by secret ballot for some or all of ACT-UAW's International Convention Delegates. Voting will be necessary if three or more candidates run for the same type of Delegate seat ("contested seats"); otherwise all candidates will be elected by acclamation, and no voting will be needed.

WHEN AND WHERE WILL VOTING OCCUR?
If voting is needed, it will take place at our Spring Membership Meeting at 4:00 pm on April 30, 2010, at 66 West 12th Street, Room 713.

HOW CAN I LEARN MORE ABOUT THE DELEGATE SEATS IN THIS ELECTION?
The Notice of Nominations describes the seats: http://actuaw.org/nominations_101.html.

HOW CAN I LEARN MORE ABOUT THE CANDIDATES IN THIS ELECTION?
If voting is needed, candidates for contested seats will be invited to make verbal statements at the Membership Meeting where voting will occur (see "How do I vote?" below).

WILL I BE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE?
If voting is needed, you will be eligible to vote for candidates who will represent the Units (New School, NYU) that you are a member in good standing of. You are a member in good standing if you: 1. Have signed an ACT-UAW application form for that Unit; AND 2. Have NOT notified ACT-UAW of your permanent separation from the Unit.

HOW WILL I VOTE?
If voting is needed, you will be able to vote by secret ballot at our Spring Membership Meeting (see "Where and When Will Voting Occur?" above).

WILL I BE ABLE TO VOTE FOR ALL DELEGATES?
Not necessarily, because candidates who run unopposed will be elected by acclamation, as described above.

WHAT ARE THE ELECTION'S RULES?
