ACT-UAW now offers personalized Member Cards, in response to overwhelming member demand for a way to identify themselves.

Pick up your personalized card at our office any weekday from noon to 6pm (113 University Place, 9th floor). To keep costs down, we will not mail cards.

Some Questions About the New Member Card

Q: Didn't I already sign a member card?
A: If you're a member, you've signed a membership signup form - in the past, we've sometimes called them "membership cards."

Q: Why is ACT-UAW issuing Member Cards?
A: We are issuing them in response to overwhelming member demand.

Q: Do I need to carry my Member Card?
A: No, but in the future we hope to sponsor discount programs, and some could require identifying yourself with the Card. We'll notify you when this happens.

Q: How do I get my Member Card?
A: You can pick up your card at our office any weekday between noon and 6pm; our office is located at 113 University Pl, Floor 9.

Q: Why not mail my Member Card to me?
A: The cost of mailing thousands of cards is prohibitively high.

Q: But isn't it important that I have my Member Card right away?
A: If you're an ACT-UAW member, you have the same rights and priviliges whether you have a Card or not. In the future we hope to sponsor discount programs, and some could require identifying yourself with the Card. We'll notify you when this happens.

Q: What if I lose my Member Card?
A: Contact us (click "Contact Us" at left); we will print a temporary card that you can pick up at our office.
